PL Week 5 (and the last of week 4!)

Hi again lovely readers :)

Today I am blogging my PL week 5 which I also managed to complete in the past few days.

So without further ado, here are my pages:

Here is the LHS:

And here is a close up of a journal card I threw together for some news that I wanted to record but not have staring everyone in the face. I would like to thank all of the girls over on the PLA FB page and also a very helpful friend of mine, Michelle Hunter, that helped me out with the ideas for this card - I'm really very happy with the way it came together.

Here is the RHS:

I just wanted to point out that down the bottom right I used a template very kindly provided by the lovely Petra over at her blog. I have changed it to fit only 2 photo's but in my week 4 I have used it with the 3 photo's =)

Being that it was the end of the month I have a 6x12 insert included for my FMS Photo a Day January Challenge (you can join in March's Photo A Day by popping over here for all the details).
So here is the front of my insert:

And the back

And last but not least (for week 5) here is my double page spread together. I'm pretty happy with the way it has all come together - I'm still pretty new at this Project Life thing but am LOVING it!!

I actually forgot to include Week 4's full spread so just thought I'd pop it in on this post so here you go:

Thanks again for stopping by and will be back hopefully tomorrow with Week 6 =)

PL Week 4

Well, I have been waiting and waiting for the arrival of my WRMK corner chomper in the right size to complete a few weeks of my PL!! It finally arrived this week so I managed to do some catching up with my sprained back. I spent almost 2 hours on the couch rounding corners all the back to the beginning of the year - thank goodness we are only in week 8 now!!

Without further ado here is my Week 4

During week 4 we had our Australia Day long weekend and for us it was a VERY long weekend.

For those of you that don't know me and my family January is a crazy busy time of year for birthday's for us - in particular the week that includes the 24th through 28th as we have a birthday on each of those 5 days!! So over the course of the 3 day weekend (Saturday through Monday) we had 4 birthday parties to go to and my wonderful man had just flown back to work!! Needless to say we had a very busy, fun weekend but by the end of it we were all absolutely shattered!!

Here is the LHS

I'm a bit hopeless about photo's in in order so they are a bit all over the place!! Jacob and I actually got the chance to go for a swim in a friend's pool on Sunday while Hunter was passed around by the other party guest's - I handed my camera to a friend and this has to be my favourite that she snapped of us =)

Here is the RHS

I actually remembered to get the instax out this week and I love the pics we got on it. The top of Jacob and I is actually washi'd to the outside of the PP and there is another underneath it =)
The top RHS is Jacob's version of eating birthday cake - this was taken Australia Day at Jacob's oldest cousin's 7th birthday.

Last, but not least, here are both of the pages together - no insert - YAY!!

As always, thanks for dropping in! Feel free to leave some love and I will be back in the coming days with the rest of my catch up work =)

PL Tag Swap

Hi there!

Just wanted to share 1 of about 15 different projects I have on the go right now!!

It is my latest swap that I am involved with in the PLA Tag Swappers Group. The theme was for each of us to pick a word and then our words were randomly generated between our group and we had to make a card that used our given word. I hope that makes sense!! Haha!

My word (of course!) was CREATE and I can't wait to see what someone else does with it and the word I was given to create with was LIFE. So here are my "LIFE" cards:

So, I used my 3rd baby the Cameo to print and cut the little tag which says "having the time of our life". Used one of my favourite washi tapes and twine - I LOVE twine!! I have also used 2 stamp sets - they are both Studio Calico sets - one I got 2nd hand (though unused - winning!!) and the other I got from 2 Peas. Oh, and the very important grid cards by Becky Higgins from over at Craft House NZ.

Thanks for dropping in and I hope you like my little creations!

Sneaky Peek and a Giveaway!

Well, I have been super busy with a crazy week of no hubby at home this week but have still managed to sneak in some paper crafting!!

I have today just one little photo of a project that I am working on as part of a swap.

Just a little story first of how it came to be!

One of the FB groups I am part of arranged a swap where we each partnered up with someone else and agreed on swapping dates and styles etc. We were going to swap a Lapbook designed by the very talented Kathy Orta but we both found that we couldn't keep our lapbooks shut so my lovely swap partner, Sandy suggested we do a memory file in the likes of Heidi Swapp. I finally managed to get a start yesterday and I am LOVING it!! If you haven't heard of  or seen these things head over here and see Heidi herself sharing this amazing product!

Here is my sneaky peek (which I have already shared with Sandy!)

Isn't this little guy cute!!

Also, over at The Stamp Spot Michelle has got another great little competition running. You just need to answer 5 pretty easy questions and she has said that whoever leaves a comment on this here post (or any others from the DT) that you will get extra entries into the draw!

You will be going into the draw to win this great prize pack

Or a pack of 15 washi tapes not currently in store!! You win, you choose!

So, leave me a comment here and then head back to the store blog and leave a comment there following the instructions!

Thanks for visiting!

Create

Create is my One Little Word for 2013.

I am doing Ali Edwards One Little Word (OLW) class for 2013 and boy has my word hit home ALREADY! For more info or to join in the fun head over here. The main reason I chose create was because I got to the point that I was sick of buying and storing - time to get my A into G and CREATE something!

Create also means many more things to me which I discovered in our January class.

My prompt cards aren't quiet finished yet but I will upload what I have done and when I finish them I will upload the completed month :)

I am sharing this because it is a journey that I will be taking in 2013 and also because I can finally share my very exciting news that I have eluded to - I have been asked to be a part of someone else's design team and primarily I will be using my OLW for my posts. Head on over to The Stamp Spot and you can see my welcome blog post and a little bit about me from the very lovely Michelle.

I think though, that that is enough talking from me so here are the pictures

Anyways, if your reading this Michelle, I am so excited to be joining your team and to say that I am a little flattered is an understatement!! Thank you for asking, I'm very much looking forward to sharing my creations with you and The Stamp Spot :)

As always, thanks for stopping by and taking the time to have a look at my little blog :)

To - Do List Shrinking (SLOWLY!)

Well, last night I headed down to my LSS - Made With Memories - for a crop night and I actually managed to get some LO's done!! Woo-hoo!! I also had the pleasure of meeting a FB friend IRL - the very lovely Trudie :)

These pages have been mostly put together (mats etc stuck down - awaiting journalling and photos) for quiet a while as they are some of the pages from Master Jacob's first year album (he just turned 3 a couple of weeks ago!!). Oh, and I used the gorgeous range from My Little Yellow Bicycle called Babysaurus which I believe is retired now, so glad I grabbed as much as I did when I did!!

They are very simple and the last month I "completed" needs a little something on the RHS. I have to admit I was feeling very nostalgic while trimming photos and doing journalling - how on earth has it been 3 years already??!

Enough chatting - here is what I did last night :)

Jacob's 4th month
Two of my all time favourite photo's of Jacob were taken in this month - the 2 big ones, just love them!

Jacob's 5th month
The little onsie's are from Angie's Etsy shop HERE. (And I purchased these long before I was a part of her DT!!)

Jacob's 10th month
The journalling for this one is a little fold out card under the 10 month tag that is there. We had a HUGE month for Jacob's 10th!!

Jacob's 11th month
It needs something on the RHS - I have a heap of the range still of the beautiful Babysaurus range from Little Yellow Bicycle so I'm sure I will find the perfect little thing to add :)

Thanks for stopping by and hopefully will be back with some more photos tomorrow or Monday - having a local PL catch up and hope to also achieve something there - though Trudie and I may have to hide in a corner!!

Have a great Saturday :)
